Billy W. McDonald died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Powell Valley Hospital. He was 71.
Billy was born April 2, 1941 in Tuckerman, Ark., to Mittie (Wheeler) and William McDonald.
Following high school, Billy went on to serve in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Billy married Judith Lynn Harvey on Oct. 12, 1961, in Cody.
He worked in the oil fields, and enjoyed fishing, small engine repair and wood carving. He attended the Southern Baptist church.
Billy is survived by his wife, Judith McDonald of Powell; daughter Jacqueline Mathis of Powell; son Harvey McDonald of Powell; sister Mary Olveda of Morrero, La.; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Mathis of Powell, Jacob Mathis of Powell and Ethan Love of Thermopolis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, Walter Wiedecamp, and grandson, Casey Steele Wheeler.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time.
