Jessie Rodriguez-Guzman, 57, of Lovell died of natural causes Monday, May 28, 2012 at a Boise hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Jessie was born in Lovell on Jan. 2, 1955 to Felicitas and Lorenzo Rodriguez. She was raised in Lovell where she attended school, and where she met Jesus Guzman. They were married on July 27, 1977 and moved to Idaho.
Two wonderful sons, Michael and Anthony, were joined into their union. They lived in Idaho for 13 years and then moved to Kansas. They later divorced and Jessie moved back to Idaho in 1993 after her twin sister died in Lovell.
She met her life partner, Sabino Melchar Delgado, in Idaho and they made their home in Caldwell for 19 years, until her death.
Jessie helped raise many nieces and nephews and they all considered her a wonderful mother. She adored and cherished her grandchildren and her legacy will be passed on to them. She will be greatly missed, much remembered and always loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felicitas and Lorenzo Rodriguez and twin sister Mary Cogswell.
Jessie is survived by her sons Michael Guzman of Caldwell, Idaho, Anthony Guzman of Kansas; her life partner Sabino Delgado of Caldwell, Idaho; siblings Lorenzo (Juanita) Rodriguez of Alaska, Maria Lena (Tony) Gonzales of Caldwell, Idaho, Rafila Luna of Wilder, Idaho, Sandra (Richard) Green of Lovell, Emertro (Luisa) Rodriguez of Sheridan, Esther (John) Wormell of Powell, Isabell Castro of Caldwell, Idaho, Edward (Lisa) Rodriguez of Lovell; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at Lovell Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Great Western Park in Lovell. Cremation has taken place.
