Doylene ‘Dee’ Anderson

Doylene “Dee” Anderson, 79, of Cody, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at West Park Hospital in Cody surrounded by the love of her family.

Dee was born Sept. 14, 1932 in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Archie and Inez Price. The family moved to Benicia, Calif., in 1942, where Dee grew up and graduated from Benicia High School in 1950.

She met the love of her life, F.L. “Andy” Anderson and they were married Aug. 6, 1953 in New Bern, N.C., where he was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Andy and Dee settled in Napa, Calif., in 1961, where they raised two daughters, Cindy (1954) and Sherry (1960). They were fortunate to travel extensively in the Far East while living in the Philippine Islands with Andy’s job with the U.S. government.

Dee and Andy realized a lifelong dream of retiring to Wyoming in 1987 and have enjoyed many happy years together here traveling, fishing, and hunting together.

Dee was an avid reader, enjoyed golf, and was a favorite of her grandchildren for playing cards and board games. Dee was also a talented homemaker and hostess.

She was preceded in death by her mother and daddy and one sister, Imogene Price.

Dee is survived by her husband and daughters; sister Dortha Cicchitti; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one nephew.
