Mildred Mathers

(Feb. 13, 1928 - Jan. 2, 2012)

Mildred Mathers died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 and is reunited with her parents, Louis and Eunice Lunsford. She was 83.

Millie was born on Feb. 13, 1928 in Lowell, Ohio. She married Earl Frank Mathers in the 1940s. They moved to Marietta, Ohio, and lived there for many years before moving to Verona, Wis.

Subsequently, they moved to Wyoming living in Laramie, Cheyenne and eventually made their home in Cody.

Mildred was the proud mother of three children: Earl Mathers Jr. (Kallie) of Bozeman, Mont., Lou Stahley (Richard) of Casper and Gibson Mathers of Powell; seven grandchildren: Melissa Stahley-Cummings, Sara Larrimar, Jonathan Mathers, Earl Curry, Joshua Mathers, Julie Mathers, Jena Mathers and five great-grandchildren.

Mildred was full of love for her family and enjoyed cooking, reading, laughing and loved her church, United Methodist of Cody. Millie was known as an exceptionally generous person and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at Cody United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.
