Esteline Nunnery Frazier

Esteline Nunnery Frazier died Tuesday, Dec. 6 in Powell.  She was 92.

Esteline was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Mossy Bottom, Kent. She was the third of five children born to George and Florence Nunnery.

During the dust bowl years, she and her family moved to Lamar, Colo. She and J.A. “Al” Frazier were married on Feb. 27, 1939. In the early 1950s, they moved their family to Powell.

Esteline lived and encouraged others to try, learn and do new things. Her hobbies included reading, needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, jig-saw puzzles and Suduko puzzles. She also enjoyed skiing, walking, golfing, playing bridge, playing pinochle, traveling and visiting friends.

She is survived by her sister Martha Frazier of California; sons Gerald of Oregon; Thomas (Marjorie) of Oregon; Charles (Jody) of Powell; her grandchildren include Shannon (Nami) of Hawaii; Shawn (Ben) Hubbard of Powell; Jason of North Carolina; Kaela (Trevor) Nelson of Powell; and eight great-grandchildren.

Esteline was preceded in death by her husband, J.A., daughter, Janna, grandson, Kevin, brothers, Clell and Warren, and sister Oma Cunningham.

Services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
