Norma J. Ewalt died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at her home in Powell. She was 75.
Norma was born in Olla, La., to Joe E. and Edna M. Boyd. She moved to Powell with her parents as a teenager and graduated from Powell High School. She completed nurse’s aid training at the Powell Hospital in 1972.
Norma and Marvin Ewalt were married Oct. 11, 1952 in Powell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, embroidery and sewing, gardening, reading, cooking, and tinkering and fixing things.
Norma was preceded in death by two sisters, Dotty Boyd and Betty Prell, and her husband, Marvin.
She is survived by daughters Lee Ann (Thomas) Powers of Ekalaka, Mont., Kathy Praeuner of Truth or Consequences, N.M., Linda (Scott) Lara of Billings, .; sisters Annette Miller and Jeanne Boyd, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
