Sharma Lee Barron of Powell died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lehigh Valley, Pa. She was 70.

Sharma was born in Red Lodge, Mont., to Clark Allen Rook Sr. and Peg Rook Williams.

She graduated from Powell High School and Northwest Community College.

Sharma served her country as a nurse in the U.S. Navy at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. When she lived in Bethlehem, Pa., she worked for Synthetic Thread. Sharma later worked as a nurse at the Powell Nursing Home.

Sharma was a charter member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Powell, and also was a lifetime Girl Scouts member.

Survivors include her four loving children: daughter, Stacey L. (Michael) Hartz of Easton Pa.; sons, Edward L. (Kelly) Barron of Bethlehem, Pa., Raymond M. Barron, of Easton, Pa., and Rodney L. Barron of Easton, Pa.; grandchildren Justin, Tristian and Rodney Jr. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Lawrence Nee; nieces Lindy O’Rourke of Powell and Millie Wall of Casper; nephew Walter Rook of Wenatchee, Wash.; and a former husband, Ronald E. Barron, of Walnutport, Pa.

Sharma was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clark Allen Rook Jr.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct.  22, at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell.

Memorial donations in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
