Patricia Ann Hufford died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at her home in Powell. She was 61.

Patti was born on Aug. 9, 1950 in Laramie. She was the first daughter born to Herbert McIntosh and Annabelle Pugh.

She grew up south of Burlington on her grandparent’s farm. She was raised by her grandparents, Fon and Berenice McIntosh. Growing up with her grandparents brought many years of fond memories. She later went on to graduate from Burlington High School in 1968. She continued her education graduating in the first Northwest College LPN class in 1981, and returning to college again in 1991 to graduate with the first RN class. Beyond nursing and being a school nurse to the kids, Patti’s passions were quilting, gardening, camping, four wheeling, canning and generally taking care of anyone.

She always put everyone before herself no matter the circumstances in any situation. Above everything she loved and cared for all the kids and extended family as though they were her own.

Patti’s first marriage produced four loving children. She married Donald Hufford on Aug. 23, 1993, and added two more children to her family. She also was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren along with other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fon and Berenice, parents Herbert and Annabelle, her sister Marlea Cauffman and her son Travis Aagard.

She will be missed by her husband, Donald; four of her children: Marcy (Del) Friedly of Powell; Ty Aagard of Powell; Trent (fiancée Robyn) Aagard of Burlington, Rusty (Rosemary) of Winnemucca, Nev., and Chanda Gruman of Muscatine, Iowa. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren: Shelby Willis, TJ Willis, McKenna Hufford, Kendal Gruman and Matthew Hufford, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
