Manuel Lopez died on Aug. 31, 2011 in Billings. He was 76.
Manuel was born March 24, 1935 in south Texas to Juana (Garcia) and Jose Lopez Sr.
He married the love of his life, Irma Diaz, in 1958, and the couple made their home in south Texas. They raised five children: Norberto, Edna, Maria, Amanda and Alicia.
The family eventually moved to the Powell area, where they lived for more than 35 years.
Manuel worked in agriculture, and loved to hunt, fish and collect coins. He was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma; his parents; daughter Alicia; one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Norberto; daughters, Edna, Maria and Amanda; two sisters; two brothers; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church with a reception following.
