Daisy Carolyn Tucker died in Riverton on Sept. 23, 2011, following a lengthy illness. She was 76.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her ex-husband James Tucker, mother, Inez Gullet, sister Delana Rissler, and brother Thomas Holt. Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Bessie (Harry) Knopp, of Powell; Ruby Bittinger of Accident, Md., Pauline (Raymond) Barnett of Fernandina Beach , Fla., Jenny (Barry) Vanderwall, of Saginaw, Mich., and Vicki (Arnie) Thoreson of Mosinee, Wis. Carolyn is also survived by two brothers, Gerald “Jim” (Joyce) Reichel of Murfeesborough, Tenn., and Fred (Dora) Reichel of Casper, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was postmistress of the Lamont, Wyo., post office in Carbon County for more than 20 years. After retiring she moved to Riverton, where she resided until her death. Carolyn was a member of Wind River Southern Baptist Church. Carolyn was a friend to many and will always be remembered for her kindness and tremendous generosity.
A graveside service for Carolyn is being arranged by Thompson Funeral Home of Powell and tentatively scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 27 at Crown Hill Cemetery, where Carolyn will be interred next to her mother, Inez Gullet.
