Edmond Frank (Jack) Hart Jr. died Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the North Big Horn Hospital. He was 90.

Jack was born to Skip and Myrtle Hart on Dec. 30, 1920, in the Absarokee, Mont., area.

He married Edith Lorene Surber Feb. 19, 1944, in Norfolk Va. Together they had five children: Larry, Jerry, Linda (McClaflin), Frank and Gale (Adams). Lorene preceded him in death in 1993.

On May 7, 1994, Jack married Kathy Bower. They shared 17 wonderful years together spending time riding motorcycles many interesting places as well as spending time in their Willwood home watching their Welch Corgi, Chelsea, perform her many antics.

Jack served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He loved reliving the things he did and places he visited during his time of military service, and he was proud to have been able to serve his country. He loved visiting with anyone who would sit and chat with him. He worked hard to provide for his family doing many jobs from an early age. He will be greatly missed.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Phyllis and Virginia, one brother, Jeff, and his first wife, Lorene.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his five children, Larry (Judi) of Chesterfield, Mo., Jerry of Shreveport, La., Linda (Mike) McClaflin of Springfield, Mo., Frank (Debra) of Powell and Gale Adams of Plymouth, N.H.; his brother Joe (Marilyn) of Absarokee, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Katie Bower and other family members he enjoyed after his marriage to Kathy.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mike Walsh officiating.

Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be sent to the family at www.thompsonfuneral.net.
