Waneta ‘Nita’ Pearl Glasgow

Waneta “Nita” Pearl Glasgow, 78, of Casper died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Casper Wyoming Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 19, 1932 to Audrey and Samuel Faye Elton, the fifth oldest of six siblings.

Nita married Loran Workman on Jan. 27, 1950. They had six children together. Nita owned a gift shop in Lovell.

Nita married Jim Glasgow on March 21, 1977. They lived in Powell until 1978.

They moved to Laurel, Mont., where they raised their two grandchildren, whom they adopted in 1985. Jim and Nita moved to Casper in 2002 to retire, where she enjoyed gardening, painting, traveling and spending time with her family and beloved husband, Jim.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Glasgow of 34 years; her five sons, Loran (Linda) Workman of Casper, Leonard Workman of Casper, Samuel Faye (Jo Ann) Workman of Casper, Dawayne (Roberta) Workman of Casper, and Jim (Lisa) Glasgow Jr. of Billings; her daughter Tonya (Jason) Burg of Park City, Mont. She also leaves a stepson, Craig Gray of Evanston; and a stepdaughter, Trisha Abraham of Billings; her brother Virgil Elton of Warren, Mont.; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and three step-grandchildren.

Nita was preceded in death by two children, Waneta Diane and Lonny Wayne; parents Audrey and Samuel Faye Elton; sisters, Thelma and Shirley; and brothers Gene and Keith.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 18 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell at 2 p.m.
