Gary Neil Hazen died in Thermopolis on Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was 65.

Gary was born to Charles and Marion Opal (Pittman) Hazen on June 5, 1944 in Powell.

He had medical problems that made it necessary to leave the family home and move to the Wyoming State Training School in Lander at the age of 4.

He resided in Lander until 2002 when he made his new home with Big Horn Enterprises in Thermopolis.

He was loving and gentle. He had the Hazen sense of humor, and loved to juggle and take walks with his family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Opal Hazen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is survived by brothers Harold (Diane) Hazen of Worland, George (Judy) Hazen of Worland; sisters Beverly (Robert) Chapman of Cheyenne, Jeannie (Chuck) Kastl of LaPine, Ore., Marion (Bill) Kelly of Hermosa, S.D., and Debbi Hatcher of Sacramento, Calif.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held Friday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home in Worland with Pastor Ken Evans from Big Horn Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Powell at the family plot.
