Virginia (Spencer) Crawford, 85, died Nov. 2 at the Golden Age Home in Cheney, Kansas.

She was born May 18, 1924 in Orleans, Vt., the daughter of Urban and Blanche (Gray) Spencer.

Virginia married Fred Ellis Crawford on Sept.  2, 1947 in Cody. She spent 35 years working as a registered nurse, and was a member of Trinity United Christian Church in Cheney. She was actively involved at the Senior Center and with Meals-On-Wheels.

Virginia is survived by her daughters Jacque Bolinger (Van) of Cheney and Anita Montgomery (Tom) of Payette, Idaho; a sister, Shirley Spencer of New Vernon, N.J.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.                                                            

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Christian Church in Cheney, with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.
