Harry Leon Wilson, 91, died Sept. 29 at Powell Valley Healthcare.

Harry was born in Garland on Nov. 18, 1917, the son of Herbert L. and Lola (Richards) Wilson. He attended schools in Deaver.

Harry married Jeannette Baxter on Dec. 17, 1939 in Powell. Two daughters were born to their union.

Harry spent his adult life as the Streets Commissioner for the city of Powell. He also raised draft horses and Appaloosas and enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Harry is survived by his daughters Alberta Storeim (Jerry) of Greybull and Georganna Takacs (Jim) of Powell; a sister, Jenny Robinson of Bismarck, N.D.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannnette; his parents; and a brother, Don Wilson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Presbyterian Church in Powell, with Kurt McNabb officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons Marti Storeim, Jamie Takacs, Steven Storeim, Jason Takacs and Aaron Storeim.

The family asks that donations be made in Harry’s name to local hospice providers.
