Theresa May Corbitt, 73, died July 2 in Cody after a brief illness.

She was born May 26, 1936 in Red Lodge, Mont., to Minnie and Dennis P. Corbitt. She grew up in the Sunlight Basin of Wyoming and was an avid horsewoman.

Theresa graduated from Cody High School. She married Ray Tetzloff on May 2, 1958 in Cody.

Theresa was a person of many interests. She loved music and listened to a wide variety of music, ranging from Hank Snow to U2. She enjoyed computer photo restoration, and she did extensive research into her family’s genealogy. Theresa was an avid reader and studied many topics. She most recently became a NASCAR enthusiast.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Roberts of Dawsonville, Ga., Cindy Stossel of Kilgore, Texas, Laurie Moore of Great Falls, Mont., Dennis Tetzloff of Anchorage, Alaska, and Terri Lynn Tetzloff of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Lucille Kenny; grandchildren Joshua, Danielle, Stephenie, Emma, Jacob, Jeremiah, Moriyah, Elishah, Theron, Travis, Patrick, Phelan and Emily; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tetzloff; a son-in-law, Philip Moore; granddaughter Amanda Cynthia Stossel; her brother, William Corbitt; and two sisters, Margaret Rouane and Elizabeth Engler.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody. The casket will be open from 9 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will be at Bennett Butte Cemetery in Clark at 2 p.m.
