Lucille M. Miller, 90, died Wednesday, May 6 at the Powell Valley Care Center.

Lucille was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Plover, Wisc., the daughter of Persis Helen (Griswald) and Frederick George Hetzel. She graduated from high school and later married Floyd Fredrick Miller on Sept. 28, 1940 at the Baptist Church in Powell.

The couple lived in Birnamwood, Wisc. and Laurel, Mont., before settling in Powell in 1954. Lucille was a homemaker and also spent time as a home health worker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, and she enjoyed gardening, fishing and crafts.

She is survived by sons, Duane Miller (Sara) of Powell and Kevin Miller (Cheryl) of Prescott, Ariz.; daughters, Janet Emmett (Herman) of Worland and Karen Greenspan of Prescott; brother, Armon Hetzel (Shirley) of Downing, Wisc.; sister, Mavis Henkel (Emil) of Gurnee, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Lucillle was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; four brothers, Mylas, Gerald, James and Russell Hetzel and a sister, Myrtha Pawlak.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday), May 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, preceded by visitation from 10-10:50 a.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorials can be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Powell. Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
