Forrest “Bud” Wheeler

Forrest “Bud” Wheeler, 83, died April 1 at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1925 in Hillview, Ill., to Daley and Maggie Wheeler.

He married Margaret Keller on March 5, 1943, in Bowling Green, Mo. He served in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and spending time with family.

He is survived by daughters Peggy Schneider (Phil) and Brenda Wassink (Wayne); son Steve Wheeler; sisters Eileen Harmon, Georgie Baldwin, Evelyne Wambeke and Leona Coronado; brothers Kenny Wheeler and Keith Wheeler and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; sons Elmer and Danny and brothers Floyde, Don, Larry and Gary.

Funeral services were April 4 at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell. Arrangements were handled by Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory.
