Earl L. Moore, 93, of Somerset, Mass.,  died at Tuesday, March 24 in Fall River, Mass.

Earl was born in Powell, the son of the late Clair G. and Libby (Shephard) Moore.

Moore served during World War II with the U.S. Army. He did a tour of duty in Germany as a medic and eventually was stationed at Myles Standish in Taunton, Mass. 

At the end of his service he settled in Somerset, Mass., to start a family with his wife, Agnes Rita Silvia. Moore was a carpenter and Mill Wright. He worked for Montaup Electric and New England Power Plants in Somerset.

Moore was a charter member and past commander of the Somerset VFW.

He is survived by his daughter, Maryellen Dutra (Edward) of Dighton, Mass; three sons, James D. Moore of Somerset, Daniel P. Moore (Joyce) of Somerset and Ray A. Moore (Cheryl) of Somerset; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Scruggs of Colorado and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; sisters Margaret Miller, Betty Ann Killian; and brothers, Alfred, Oliver, Logan “Bill”, Raymond and Donald Moore. Funeral services were held in Somerset on Monday. Burial followed with military honors in Saint Patrick Cemetery in Somerset. To sign a memorial guest book, visit www.hathawayfunerals.com.
