David R. Mikeworth

David Mikeworth, 42, died at the Powell Valley Care Center Saturday, June 16 from complications of diabetes and cancer.

He was born Feb. 10, 1965, in Fairfield, Ill., to Charles L. Mikeworth, Jr. and Phyllis June Mikeworth. His family lived on a farm until David was 12, then moved to Cody and lived there for a short time.  David subsequently lived in many places, but returned to the Powell-Lovell area where he met his wife, Sandy Sintek Mikeworth. They were married June 5, 1993.

David was a certified mechanic and truck driver. His family will remember him as a kind, loving man, concerned about others before himself. He had a special fondness for the outdoors and found great joy fishing with his wife Sandy.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Sintek Mikeworth of Powell; step-daughter Alicia Lopez (Loni) Willett; step-son, Joe (Jacquelyn) Lopez; mother, Phyllis Mikeworth; grandmother, Mary McNew; uncle, Dan McNew; sisters, Maureen (Morgan) May and Leandra (Keith) Brandon; brother, Patrick Jason (Sharon) Mikeworth; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Mikeworth.
