Graveside services will be conducted today (Tuesday, July 1) at 10 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery for Dawn Rae Roden, 59, who died Wednesday, June 25 at her Powell home.

Pastor Jeff McKearney of Cornerstone Community Fellowship will officiate at services.

She was born April 1, 1949, in Powell to L. Dwayne LaFollette and Wilma (Van Vleet) LaFollette. She graduated from Powell schools and attended some college. She married Gary Roden on Oct. 7, 1971, in Riverton.

They lived in Powell where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting and playing bingo and cards with her mother.  She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Fellowship.

She loved her family very much and was a devoted grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Gary of Powell; two sons, Rick (Lisa) Clifton of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., and Scot Roden of Powell; her mother, Wilma LaFollette of Powell; a sister, Tina (Mike) Heny of Powell; and three grandchildren, Dillon Roden, Nikkole and Jadyn Clifton.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dwayne; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Kathy LaFollette; and a sister, Michelle (Mitzi) Ray.

Pallbearers at the funeral will be Mike Heny, Paul Faxon, Tracy Sweet, Billk Sommerville, Jim Kysar and Jim Cooley.

Thompson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. For those who wish, the family would appreciate memorials to the American Cancer Society.
