Pam Shaffer, 53, Worland, died Wednesday, Nov. 9.

She was born June 13, 1952, in Scottsbluff, Nebr., the fifth child of Raymond E. and Kathleen C. (Roberts) Bower.

She graduated from the U.s. Job Corps and attended classes at the University of Wyoming. Through the years, she worked in the nursing field, for the U.S. Postal Service and for several businesses in Wyoming and Colorado.

She was known as an excellent money manager. She enjoyed her sons’ activities, cared for her aging parents, excelled in outdoor recreation and found pleasure working in her garden.

Survivors include her two beloved sons, Cody and Colt Shaffer of Worland; her mother, Kathleen (Katie) Bower of Worland; her two brothers, Jim (Dena) Bower and Ray “Junior” (Marlene) Bower, both of Worland; her four sisters, Peggy (LaVern) Lofink of Thermopolis, Kathy (Jack) Hart of Powell, Becky Witt of Cody and Cindy Bower of Houston, Texas.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worland. Dr. L.E. (Bud) Surles will officiate. Interment of ashes will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland and in the Big Horn Mountains.
