A memorial service was conducted Saturday, Oct. 1 in Casper for former Powell resident, Ernest Boyle, 77, who died Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Cozad, Nebr., son of Nellie (Hunt) and Roy Boyle. He was raised and educated in Powell and lived here for some 20 years.

He married Norma Lou Jones in Rock Springs on July 13, 1973. They lived in Casper off and on for the last 25 years. He worked in oilfield trucking, and was employed by Brinkerhoff, Black Hills Trucking, Reed Transportation and L.L. Smith Trucking.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Norma in Casper; two sons and their wives, Mike and Stephen, both of Casper; five step-children, Eldon Jones of Cheyenne and Ken Jones of Rawlins and Connie Winkler and Frank and Milton Jones of Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
