Graveside services for Mary Patricia (Pat) Ellison, 79, of Powell, will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Ellison died Aug. 6 at West Park Hospital in Cody, where she was recovering from a June 2005 automobile accident.

She was born May 31, 1926, in Marmarth, N.D., to Charles and Mabel Jamieson. She moved to Powell with her family on Sept. 1, 1928. She graduated from Powell High School in the spring of 1944 and married James Ellison on Jan. 19, 1946.

The couple raised three sons in Powell and other Wyoming towns.

While living in Nebraska, the Ellison sons graduated from Kimball High School and then from the University of Nebraska.

Pat was an active member of the Union Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Powell; two brothers, Hewitt (Geneva) Jamieson of Powell and Ross Jamieson of Billings; three sons, Paul (Diane) Ellison of Houston, Texas, Warren (Doris) Ellison of Janesville, Wis., and James (Susan) Ellison of Montara, Calif.; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Helen Whitaker of Apache Junction, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Jamieson, and a sister, Roberta Jacobs.

Following services on Friday, a luncheon in honor of Pat will take place at the Union Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Daughters of the Nile for the Shriners Children's Hospital at 2831 Highway 120, Cody, WY 82414.

Thompson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
