Graveside funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. at Mount View Cemetery in Basin for Tressie Alma Martin, 86, who died at her Basin home Thursday, July 14.

She was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Tulsa, Okla., daughter of Luther and Fanny Mae (Shell) Angle. She married Raymond Louis Martin in May of 1936 in Oklahoma.

She loved her grandchildren and loved to quilt. She enjoyed sewing, collecting porcelain dolls and canning. She loved daffodils, and her favorite place to visit was Daffodil Hill in Amador, Calif.

Survivors include her daughter, Edith (John) Hood of Basin; two sons, Gene Ray Martin of Las Vegas, Nev., and William (Linda) Martin of Ralston; three brothers, Donald (Ida) Angle, Frank Angle and Bernard (Opal) Angle, all of Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Leota Norton of Modesto; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Louis Martin; two daughters; one sister; and two granddaughters.
