A 21-year resident of Powell, Marguerite M. Cramer, 80, died peacefully Tuesday, July 12 at Powell Valley Care Center after a short illness of pancreatic cancer.

She was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Greybull, daughter of Nelson H. James and Margaret E. (MacKinnon) James. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in nursing during World War II in Denver.

She married Darwin O. Cramer Aug. 27, 1948, at Red Lodge, Mont., and then devoted herself as a wife, homemaker and mother. She and her husband moved to Powell in 1984 after his retirement from a career with Marathon Pipeline Company.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading English mystery novels, china painting, gardening and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Darwin of Powell; a son, James D. Cramer and wife Judy of Thermopolis; a daughter, Connie A. Tucker and husband Thomas of Sheridan; and three grandchildren, Ryan Tucker of Sheridan and John and Jennifer Cramer of Thermopolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack James.

Private family services will be held, with burial in Greybull.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
