Funeral services for Joan Bosch of Worland, formerly of Powell, were held Wednesday, July 6 at Bryant Funeral Home in Worland. She died Friday, July 1 at her home at the age of 73.

She was born Joan Harrison in Powell on July 1, 1932, to Earl and Ethel Harrison. She attended Powell schools and participated in band and Girls State in 1949. She was also active in 4-H, participating in county fair each year with her heifer project.

She attended nursing school in Billings, Mont., and in April of 1951, she married Tom Bosch.

They lived in Worland where they raised their daughters, Cyndi, Sue and Debbie. She was active in church and PTA and spent many years working for Worland Motors.

She spent her free time crafting, painting, knitting and quilting. She was an avid reader and enjoyed square dancing and playing cards. Her favorite outdoor activities were water skiing and snowmobiling. She loved to spend time at the family cabin in the Big Horns and was always ready for a trip to the mountains “as long as there was electricity available.” She loved cats, and anyone visiting the Bosch home would quickly become acquainted with the numerous cats that were part of the family over the years.

Survivors include her daughters, Cyndi (Keith) Young, Sue McNeese and Debbie Morehouse; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; her brother and his wife, Neil and Vernice Harrison of Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, in 2004.
