Graveside services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at Crown Hill Cemetery for Aileen Gale Wilcox, 83, Powell, who died Monday, Nov. 8 at Powell Valley Care Center.

She was born Feb. 5, 1921, in St. Joseph, Mo., daughter of Roy Harrison and Bessie Gale (Crouse) Stapp. During her early years, she lived with her parents in Orfino, Nebr., then moved with her family to Cozad, Nebr., until 1937. The family then moved to California, and she graduated from high school there.

She met and married Harvey R. Wilcox in Kansas. They lived in Cozad, Nebr., until moving to Wyoming in 1948. They settled in Cody and lived there moving to Powell in 1967.

In Cody, she was employed by Husky Oil Company until her retirement. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Eastern Star.

She enjoyed many hobbies such as crocheting, rug hooking and ceramics. She loved to go fishing and camping and loved to be around her children, grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Rolanda (Lanny) Mees and husband Kenney of Powell and Vickie Sanders of Thermopolis; two brothers, Roy Stapp of Mountain Home, Ark., and Raymond Stapp of Cozad, Nebr.; one sister, Violet Power of Cody; four grandchildren, Travis Sanders, Dawn Bazzell, Danyle Sanders and Trinity Edwards; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; her parents; a brother, Kenneth; two sons-in-law, Les Andrews and Virgil Sanders Jr.; and two grandsons, Jeff and Scott Andrews.

Visitations will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 11) at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody.
