Thelma I. "Tomie" Lungren, 75, of Powell died at Powell Hospital on Thursday, March 25.

She was born Sept. 7, 1928 in Lander to Verne L. and Mary I. (Clark) McLane.

Mrs. Lungren married John Harold Lungren, Jr., in Worland on April 25, 1948.

She was raised in Worland and graduated from Washakie County High School in 1946. She worked for Van's Food Market for several years before taking time out to raise her family. She returned to work in 1958 for PureGro Fertilizer Co., retiring in 1992.

In September 2001, she and her sister Dorothy moved to Powell to be near Tomie's daughter.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Worland Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed crocheting and being with her grandkids.

She is survived by daughters Lynn Ellen (Lynn) Bebee of Omaha, Neb., and twin daughters Kathy M. (Brian) Blane of Parker, Colo., and Kristy M (Berton) Agee of Powell; brother Richard V. (Yvonne) McLane of Cheyenne; sisters Dorothy Tidemann of Powell and Shirley (Clare) Weber of Sheridan; grandchildren Darcy Terry, Shanna Blane and Kailee Blane all of Parker, Colo., and Seth Agee of Powell; great grandchildren Dominik John Blane of Parker, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Lungren was preceded in death by her husband in 1982 and by her parents and in-laws John and Louise Lungren.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service was held March 30 at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland with the Rev. L.E. "Bud" Surles officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Connie Bowers at 316 South 21st, Worland, WY 82401.

Veile Mortuary of Worland was in charge of arrangements.
