Graveside funeral services for friends and family were held Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell for Robert B. Lamm, 79, Ralston, who died Thursday, July 17 at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell after a long and courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis and infections.

He was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to True and Vera (Atkins) Lamm. He was the oldest of three sons.

He and Marjorie Cross were married in Alliance, Nebr., on Sept. 8, 1942. They moved to a farm on the East Willwood south of Powell in November of 1964 and farmed there until December of 1994 when they sold the farm.

He was a farmer, rancher and truck driver. He loved to hunt, fish and rodeo. He belonged to the Old Timers Rodeo Club for several years. and liked to calf rope and team rope. He was a header and 13th in the nation one year in the over 60-year-olds.

He dearly loved his two daughters, two grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marjorie; daughter Nancy (Dewayne) Becking of Powell, grandson Tim and Liz Becking of Sheridan; great-granddaughter Kailee Becking; daughter Cheri (Gary) Stockburger of Beaverton, Ore.; granddaughter Shawna and Tod Garcia of Creswell, Ore., and great-granddaughters Mickayla and Shelby Garcia; step-great-granddaughter Mandy Garcia of Creswell, Ore.; brother Tom (Earladeen) Lamm of Torrington; sister-in-law Pauline Lamm of Absarokee, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dick; and nephew, Russ Lamm.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ft. Laramie.

Haskell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
