Memorial services are scheduled Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Union Presbyterian Church in Powell for Shirley Hayner, 55, who died Friday, Oct. 11 at her home in Powell after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Shirley Kaiser on March 28, 1947, in Billings, Mont., daughter of Alex and Frieda (Manweiler) Kaiser. She moved at the age of 2 to Wyoming with her family. She graduated from Powell High School in 1965.

On Oct. 25, 1968, she married Gordon Hayner in Cody. She lived in Cody until 1999.

She loved to bowl, fish, dance and spend quality time with her special friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Molly Kleiner and husband Tom of Lovell and Virginia Dyer and husband Richard of Amarillo, Texas; three granddaughters, Stormy Jones of Lovell and Britnee and LaRae Hayner of Amarillo, Texas; a grandson, Billey Kleiner of Lovell; great-granddaughters, Tameka and Chante Jones of Lovell; her mother and stepfather, Frieda and John Gilmore; three brothers, Ernest Kaiser of Phoenix, Ariz., Ray Kaiser and Roy Kaiser, both of Powell; two sisters, Margret Reynolds of Indiana and Sharon Jordan and husband Cliff of Powell; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeff Harnish Foundation, P.O. Box 30158, Billings, MT 59107, or to the Powell Valley Hospice.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody.
