Julia Ann Dart, 63, died Thursday, July 12 at the Powell Hospital from complications of a long illness with a liver disease.

She had been a resident of Powell since 1972 when she moved to the community following the tragic death of her husband, Bill Dart, in 1969 while the family was living in Alpine, Wyo.

She was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Duchesne, Utah, as the oldest of four children of Edward Kielbasa and Marie (Hadden) Kielbasa. At the age of 18, she married Bill Dart of Roosevelt, Utah. They had six children, three boys and three girls.

In Powell, she is remembered for having worked many years as the secretary for the LDS Institute. She also worked many years as a nurse's aide at the old Powell Nursing Home.

She is survived by her six children; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Survivors also include her mother and two sisters.

Friends and acquaintances recall her ability to make people smile and laugh. Her quick wit and endless funny stories will be greatly missed, as will her generous and caring personality.

Cremation has taken place, and interment at the Deaver Cemetery will be announced at a later date. Haskell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
