Sandra Lee Broussard (Lewis) of Powell entered the pearly gates after a courageous battle with cancer. She was only 61.

Sandra was born in San Bernardino on March 23, 1949 to Lonnie and Dorothy Lewis. She drove for Omni Trans Bus Lines for over 25 years earning many awards. Sandra retired to Powell to be close to her family. She loved spending time with her family and going to Vegas to gamble and have fun. She was the life of the party and always made us laugh with her jokes.

Sandra was strong in her heart. She was tough as nails and soft as silk. She was a lady who was always understanding and naturally terrific. Sandra was a devoted Colts fan and would call her sons on game day to talk about the plays. She will be remembered forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Dorothy and Lonnie Lewis, 2 brothers, Larry and Darryl Lewis. Sandra is survived by one brother, Lonnie Lewis Jr., 4 sons, Steven (Barbie) D’Amico, Eric (Claudia) Gant, Jermaine (Sabrina) Broussard and Adam Broussard, 4 grandchildren, Brody and Jermaine Jr., Ty and a baby girl on the way, 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 8 great nephews, 6 great nieces and one great-great niece. Sandra will be greatly missed.

Services are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 11 at 4:45 p.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church located on Seventh Street in Powell.
