Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Living Fortress Foursquare Church, 19th and Salsbury Avenue in Cody, for James Henry Moore, 74, of Powell, who died at his Powell home Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Mr. Moore was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Powell, son of Stanford W. Moore and Edna Edith (Meredith) Moore. He attended the local schools through the eighth grade before beginning his life's work in the oilfields.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and married Stella Gebhart in Powell on Feb. 22, 1945. They were later divorced.

He spent most of his working years in the oilfields in the Big Horn Basin.

On Sept. 4, 1972, he married Joan E. Moore in Reno, Nev.

He loved the outdoors. He was a gun enthusiast, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and prospecting. Association with family and friends brought him great joy.

Survivors include a son, Bradley James Moore and wife Ronna of Payette, Idaho; a daughter, Melody Lee Young and husband Jerry of Umatilla, Ore.; two stepsons, Kim Richardson of Arizona and Alan Richardson of Cody; two step-daughters, Rikki Richardson and Laurie Campbell, both of Montana; two brothers, Thomas J. Moore and wife Jo Ann of Cody and S.W. Moore, Jr. of Maysville, Okla.; two sisters, Geneva Lavon Wheeler and husband Burt of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Virginia Moore of Powell; a half-sister, Carolyn Kennedy and husband Ron of Maysville, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Joan.
