Beverly Anne (Badley) Williams

Beverly Williams, retired CPA, died Dec. 4, 2010.

She was born April 25, 1929, in Thermopolis to Bruce and Kate Badley.

Beverly’s young life was in Lander, and after graduating from high school, she attended the University of Wyoming for two years.

She married Howard Williams in 1949 and they moved to Powell, where Howard taught instrumental music in the schools. Beverly enjoyed a position as a bookkeeper at Gordon Brodrick’s Okay Chevrolet for many years. 

In 1966 the family relocated to Eugene, Ore. Beverly attended the University of Oregon and earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting, and became a CPA. She joined EWEB as Accounts Manager, later moving to United Pipe and Supply as in-house accountant, rising to the position of CFO. Beverly’s last working years were filled with the joy of working with wonderful people in a major business. 

In October 1993, Beverly was profiled in Oregon Business magazine as one of four outstanding Oregon women CFOs.

Beverly retired in the 1990s to her loves of traveling, family, and music. 

She had health problems in 2004 and fought the good fight until her passing on Dec. 4. A family service was held.  She will be greatly missed.

She leaves her husband Howard; two sons David and Mark; sister Catherine Wilson and family; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren to mourn her passing.
