Dyfrig Lloyd Lange

Dyfrig Lloyd Lange, 69, died Saturday, Jan. 8 at his home in Lovell. 

He was born Nov. 13, 1941 in Powell, the second of three boys born to William (Bill) Lange and Mary June Tanner Lange.

Dyfrig was reared and educated in Powell.

Dyfrig was married to Alice Faye Schuller. To this union, one daughter, Debbie, was born.

Dyfrig and Sharon Schmitt were married on May 1, 1962 in Saint Anthony, Idaho. To this union were born three children: Dyfrig “Duffy,” Trina and Christy.

He and his family moved to Lovell in 1969, where he was a plumbing and heating contractor until 2009. 

He was also in food service, Dudes Café in the early 1980s and later Lange’s Kitchen in 1999 until his death.

He loved the outdoors — summer or winter, hunting or fishing or just roaming around the hills with his grandchildren.

Dyfrig was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Lovell; brothers, Terry (Kathy) Lange of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mitchial (Mick) and Debbie Lange of Logan, Utah; half-sister, Connie Jo (Jack) Godak of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; two step-brothers; two step-sisters; son, Dyfrig (Cheri) Lange of Powell; daughters, Trina Miller of Lovell, Christy (Blaine) Jolley of Greybull, and Debbie Hopkins of Rupert, Idaho; grandchildren, Jacob and Mariah Lange, Zachary and Kenyon Miller, and Cassandra and Brianna Jolley; and many friends.

Cremation has taken place. 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell.
