Marilyn Carole Sheppard died Dec. 21, 2010 in Twin Falls, Idaho. 

She was born Dec. 9, 1938 to Hazel (DeVoss) and Carl Burgener in Powell. She graduated from Powell High School and attended the University of Wyoming. The cause of death was complications of COPD.

In 1959, she married Stanley Sheppard at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. 

To this union, five children were born. They lived in several towns in Montana, Casper, Boise, Idaho, and finally settled in Twin Falls, where they owned and operated S G Produce.

Marilyn was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and spent lots of time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Hazel Burgener, brother-in-law Ralph Grosdidier and nephew Casey “Rowdy” Cannon. 

She is survived by her husband  Stan, sons Scott (Val), Mike (Shanee), Jay (Karen) and daughters Shawna (Scott) Straubbar and Marcie (Sebastian) Shaw, 17 grandchildren, her sisters Greta Grosdidier of Mitchell, S.D., Bobbie (Les) Cloninger of Powell, Debbie (Den) Havig of Acworth, Ga., and brother Gary (Kay) Burgener of Douglas.

A funeral Mass was held at St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church on Dec. 28, 2010 and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.
