Alice T. Huffman

(Dec. 21, 1913 – Nov. 9, 2010)Alice T. Huffman of Basin died at Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home between Basin and Greybull, early Tuesday morning, Nov. 9, 2010. She was 96.

On Dec. 21, 1913 Alice was born at Penrose to Alex Peterson Tvedtnes and Alice Emma (Carroll) Tvedtnes. Alice was raised in the Powell area and graduated from Powell High School.

Alice married Kenaz Huffman. They lived in Los Altos, Calif., for many years. After her husband died, Alice moved to St. George, Utah and then moved to Wyoming in 2008. Alice was a “world” traveler; she loved to travel.

Alice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenaz Huffman; two brothers, Carroll and Glen Tvedtnes; and one sister, Dorothy T. Yonts.

Alice is survived by her nephew, Doyle Yonts of Basin; her niece, Doreen Hanich of Tonto Basin, Ariz.; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, at the Grace Southern Baptist Church in Greybull, with Pastor A. J. Jenness officiating. A viewing will be held at the church one-half hour before the services. Burial will follow at the Penrose Cemetery between Byron and Powell.
