Jeremiah Elden Thormahlen

Posted

(Aug. 2, 1981 - Oct. 25, 2010)Jeremiah Elden Thormahlen of Powell went to be with the Lord on Oct. 25, 2010 after a fierce battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma that lasted the better part of four years. He was 29.

Jeremy was born Aug. 2, 1981 to George Elden and Sudie Marie (Knutson) Thormahlen.

He graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 2000. He worked for many years as KFC/Taco Bell manager and then general manager and attended Northwest College.

Jeremy married the light and love of his life, Laura Cervantes, in his parents' back yard on June 19, 2004. He often told his mom that Laura was the one person who could always make him laugh when he was in a bad mood, and she always made every day better.

He loved the Pryor Mountains, camping and spending time with his family. He adored his daughter, Isabelle, nieces and nephews.

Jeremy was a force to be reckoned with at Scrabble and often asked friends and family, “Want to come over and get beaten at Scrabble?” He was usually right.

Jeremy was a huge Raiders football fan. His wife had purchased tickets for him to go to the Broncos-Raiders football game in Denver Oct. 24, but sadly, he was hospitalized and could not attend. Jeremy also was very involved in fantasy football. His daughter, Isabelle Melina, 3, was his pride and joy. He would tell people that Isabelle was beautiful because of her mom and smart because of her dad.

Jeremy was a very loyal and loving friend. Sarcasm and a wicked sense of humor were a large part of his personality. He loved to make people laugh. He will be missed forever.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Thormahlen; daughter Isabelle Melina; his parents, Elden and Sudie Thormahlen; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lupe and Annie Cervantes; brother Joshua (Kylee) Thormahlen of Powell; nephews Colter and Haden Thormahlen; nieces Makaila and Katie Jo Thormahlen. He is also survived by his grandparents, George and Jo Thormahlen of Joliet, Mont., Elnor A. Knutson of Miles City, Mont.; Selmer O. Knutson of Portland, Ore. and Roy Hobbs of Miles City, Mont.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
