(Dec. 7, 1919 - Aug. 12, 2010)Wilma Marie LaFollette died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Powell Valley Care Center in Powell. She was 90.

Wilma was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Bismarck, N.D., to William and Clara (Meland) VanVleet. She graduated from Powell High School and married her high school sweetheart, Dwayne LaFollette, on Aug. 11, 1940 in Cody.

She was in the nursing field for 18 years, a highlight in her life, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star. She was active in the White Shrine, the hospital auxiliary, and American Legion and Eagles auxiliaries.

She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, as well as spending time with her family. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling and camping.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne; and children, Bill LaFollette, Dawn Roden and Mitzi Ray.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Heny (Mike) of Powell; son-in-law, Gary Roden, of Powell; grandchildren Rick Clifton (Lisa) of Nine Mile Falls,Wash.; and Scott Roden, Zach Heny and Ashtyn Heny, all of Powell; and great-grandchildren Nikkole Clifton, Dillon Roden and Jadyn Clifton.

A viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mike Heny, Rick Clifton, Scott Roden, Zach Heny, Dillon Roden, and Honorary Pallbearer is Gary Roden.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
