(July 19, 1933 - May 31, 2010)Jerome H. “Jerry” Satterlee, 76, died May 31, 2010, in Powell.

He was born July 19, 1933, in Independence, Iowa, to Arthur A. and Lois (Hayzlett) Satterlee.

He graduated from high school in 1952 and married Barbara Belzer the same year in Carmel, Calif.

Jerry graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He worked as a civil engineer and chief of operations for the Bureau of Land Management Agency in Safford, Ariz., where he lived for 30 years.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and the Public Lands Foundation.

Jerry enjoyed fishing and country music, and he loved singing and telling stories to his four granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Powell; sons Craig Satterlee (Lisa) of Powell and Kent Satterlee (Bekki) of Butte, Mont.; sisters Genevive Cook, Sheila Lamphier and Sharon Kessler; brother Clark Satterlee; and four granddaughters, Lacie, Lynzee, Kristian and Danyon.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Satterlee.

Funeral services will be at First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 3. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
