Sophie Fink Winterholler

(Jan. 19, 1913 – April 26, 2010)Sophie Fink Winterholler, 97, died April 26, 2010, at New Horizon Care Center in Lovell.

Sophie was born Jan. 19, 1913, to Carl B. and Amelia (Fink) Fink in Chicago, Ill. She lived in Kane, Wyo., and was raised on a farm east of Lovell.

She married Alex Winterholler on Feb. 14, 1942, and moved to Lovell. She was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong active member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Sophie is survived by a daughter, Loretta Kolb of Powell; two grandchildren, Greg Kolb (Belinda) of Cheyenne and Brad Kolb (Kerri) of Powell; six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Fiechtner of Powell; a brother, Fred Fink of Chicago; a sister-in-law, Hannah Fink of Lovell; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alex; an infant daughter; two grandchildren; two sisters; and five brothers, including a brother who died at birth.

Memorial services will be on Thursday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lovell with Pastor Christopher Brandt officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in the Lovell Cemetery.
