(March 2, 1927 - April 20, 2007) Wilma Rose Elder, 80, of Powell, died Friday, April 20, at St. Vincents Hospital in Billings. She was born on March 2, 1927 in Warren, Mont., a daughter of Carl H. and Beatrice V. (Johnson) Hocken. She attended Powell High School and graduated in 1945.She married Tracy H. (Pop) Elder on July 4, 1955, in Carson City, Nev. They lived in Powell where Wilma was a secretary at KPOW radio and at the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Methodist Church.She is survived by sons Robert, Dennis (Betty), Danny (Janice); daughter Carroll (Gene) Wedel; brothers Dale (Stella) Hocken and Darrell (Linda) Hocken, sister Beatrice Lipps; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tracy, and her stepmother, Armeda Hocken.Rev. Susan Adams-Trembath will officiate at services on Wednesday, April 25, 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be C.J. Cooper, Frank Winz, Barry Ward, Tyler Stovall, David Pease, and Clay Ward; honorary pallbearer will be Robert Sherman. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131. Thompson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
