(Dec. 19, 1949 - April 24, 2005) Charles (Dale) Norris, 81, died Sunday, April 24 at the Powell Nursing Home.He was born in Mena, Ark., son of Garland and Sadie Norris. His education included a two-year associate degree and then he entered the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He married Edith Woodsmall at Cody Dec. 19, 1949. For 35 years, he worked as a material supervisor for Amoco Production Co. at Powell.He was a member of the Powell Elks Club and the Powell Country Club and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed Wyoming's outdoors and the pursuits of bird hunting, fishing and gardening.Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Wasson and husband Jerry of Byron; three grandchildren, Chris Pendergraft (Jill) of Riverton, Corrie Hammond of White Fish, Mont., and Cody Doyle of Reno, Nev.; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; and his parents.No services are planned at this time.
