(May 2, 1922 - March 29, 2007) Henry "Duncan" Barron, a former longtime resident of Powell, died Thursday, March 29, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was 84.He was born May 2, 1922, in Shreveport, La., a son of Henry and Bertha (Fewell) Barron. He graduated from high school and served in the Army during World War II with the 746th Tank Battalion which landed on Utah Beach on D-Day. He married Agnes (Faye) Barnett on Oct. 14, 1941. They lived in Wright City, Texas, and later moved to Powell where he was employed with Marathon Oil Co., for 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, traveling the country by motorhome, and woodworking. After the death of his wife in October, 2006, Henry relocated to Huntsville, Utah, to live with his niece and nephew, Jim and Dianne Branch.He is survived by brother, Jacky Dean Barron; sisters, Frances Williams, Peggy Lewis, Mary Shaw, Bonnie Harris, and Joy Evans; grandson, Danny Sullivan; great-grandson, Zachary Sullivan; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Faye, their only daughter, Billie Janette Sullivan, and sisters, Sharon Gibbs, Emma Lee, and Bertha Fulton.Graveside services will be held Friday, April 6, at Lindquist Cemetery in Ogden, Utah. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Powell.
