Jeanne Ferguson, 94, of Powell, and formerly of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Thursday, July 13th in her home and surrounded by loving family.

Born to Sherman and Nellie Breedlove in Fort Wayne, Indiana, her childhood was spent in New York and Indiana the youngest of five siblings. She graduated high school with her baccalaureate from Fort Wayne in 1940. After high school she remained in Indiana working for General Electric and met William T. Ferguson at a dance in 1942 whom she married in 1943 at Brady, Texas.

Jeanne was a spunky and independent woman who loved travel, museums, sports, reading, good wine, and being amidst her family. Jeanne will be deeply missed by her six children Bobbe Simpson (Don), Joyce Young, Sherry Smith (Gerald), Bill Ferguson, Brian Ferguson, Ben Ferguson (Debbie); and her thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, Bill.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20th at the United Methodist Church of Powell, with burial at the Crown Hill Cemetery, and a reception at The Commons to follow.
