Clyde W. Holtsman

Clyde W. Holtsman II of Powell died on June 7, 2017. He was 76.

Clyde was born on July 15, 1940, to Edna Erline Merydith and Clyde W. Holtsman I, in Lakeport, California.

He attended American River College in Sacramento, California. Clyde worked as an electrical engineer and farmer.

Clyde married Shirley Mortenson on June 26, 1960. The couple had three children.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, photography, woodworking, metal working and beekeeping. He was a Master Mason and active in the Eastern Star, Knights Templar.

Clyde attended Grace Point (formerly First Baptist Church) in Powell.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and sister Betty Bond.

Clyde is survived by his sons, Mark Holtsman of Sacramento, California, and Clyde W. Holtsman III of Powell; daughter Susan Holtsman Highnote of Tampa, Florida; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in late July, with Pastor David Pool officiating.

The family requests that memorial donations in Clyde’s name be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
