Vada Coles Tirrell, was born May 14, 1921. She was the ninth child of four boys and five girls born to Alvin Coles and Mary Ida Fogg in Rigby, Idaho.

She married Orlin John Tirrell April 24, 1942, in Logan, Utah. Shortly after they were married Orlin was drafted, and spent most of his service time in Alaska, where Vada was able to join him for his last year of service.

After they returned to Ogden, Utah, their first son, Brent Jay, was born. After living in Ririe, Idaho, for two years they drew a homestead on the Heart Mountain Bench, where they lived from 1951 to 1975. Their other two sons, Bart Coles, and Douglas Orlin were born in Powell.

In 1975, they moved to Lovell and farmed near the Big Horn River for five years. They returned to the area where they grew up, Rigby Idaho, in 1985. They lived there together until July 2016 when Orlin passed away.

Vada died quietly at The Gardens of Rigby on May 17, 2017, just three days after her 96th birthday. Her family gathered together for her 96th birthday, a very special time for all.

She leaves a legacy of strength and love, and an unfaltering testimony of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her love and example is cherished by her family and all those who knew her.

Vada is survived by her oldest son Brent Jay of Lovell and his family; Bart Coles of Olympia, Washington, and his family; and Douglas Orlin and his family of Rigby, Idaho.
