Robert Jerome “Jerry” Ellis of Cody died peacefully at home on April 26, 2017. He was 64.
He was born Nov. 23, 1952 to Robert and Darralee Ellis (Henderson) in Cody.
Jerry graduated from Cody High School and attended college in Casper. He enjoyed the outdoors, rock hunting/climbing, skiing, exploring Wyoming’s beautiful places and viewing the abundance of wildlife there. His greatest love was music and he played several instruments and sang in bands locally.
Jerry is survived by his sisters, Sharon Struempf (Bary) of Spokane Valley, Washington, Debra Ellis-McBride (Fred) of Newman Lake, Washington; niece, Bonnie McBride of Vancouver, Washington; and his caregiver and ex-wife, Bev Ellis (Dorn).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Darralee Ellis.
Jerry wished to be cremated so no service is planned.
Cremation services have been entrusted with Ballard Funeral Home.
