Eilene Mae Harmon, 88, died quietly on Feb. 3, 2017, at her home in Powell.
Eilene was born on Jan. 16, 1929 in Hillview, Illinois, to the late Daily and Maggie Mae Wheeler. From this union she was the youngest of five children, with seven half brothers and sisters from a second marriage.
Eilene married the late Marion Harmon in 1946 in Butte, Montana. They shared almost 60 years of marriage.
She loved her animals, spending time in the great outdoors, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others first. Her family said, “To know her was to love her.”
Eilene is survived by her children, Betty Lou Mauch (Melvin) and Randy Harmon (Gail); four grandchildren, Christi Greaham (Jeff), Michelle Flores, (Danny), Chad Harmon (Shavon), Tami Biorn (Mark), along with 13 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 6, at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell.
